Visa information
If you are traveling on a Brazil passport, you have three primary ways to secure your entry into Vietnam.
1. The E-Visa (Recommended)
The most convenient and popular choice for tourism and short business trips.
- Best for: Most travelers.
- Validity: Up to 90 days (Single or Multiple Entry).
- Entry Points: Valid at 83 international airports, land borders, and seaports.
- Process: Applied for and issued entirely online through the official government portal (evisa.gov.vn).
2. Visa on Arrival (VOA)
A secondary option specifically for those flying from Brazil to Vietnam who may have unique requirements.
- Best for: Last-minute travelers or those with specific visa types not covered by e-visas.
- Cons: Air travel only. You cannot use this for land or sea crossings.
- Requirements: You must obtain a "Visa Approval Letter" from a travel agency before you board your flight. You will then get the actual visa stamp at the airport upon arrival.
3. Embassy Visa
The traditional route via the Vietnamese Embassy in Brasilia.
- Best for: Travelers who prefer having a sticker visa in their passport before leaving home, or those seeking longer-term/specialized visas.
- Flexibility: Generally valid for entry via air, land, or sea.
- Process: Requires submitting your physical passport and application directly to the embassy. Please check the embassy website for more information: https://vnembassy-brasilia.mofa.gov.vn/en-us
